OP13 Luffy and EB05 Robin join the Meta lineup

Fixes and improvements

  • Reorder your hand: drag cards to arrange them however you like.
  • Revealed cards stay in place: publicly revealed cards remain visible where they are.
  • Roomier desktop layout: wide screens show a larger hand and bigger Leader and field cards.
  • Smoother recovery after updates: clearer notices bring you back to your match, and timed matches get a fresh inactivity window.
  • Trigger filter: find cards with a Trigger in the deck editor.

Frequently asked questions

About the simulator

  1. Is OPTCG AI free to play?

    Yes, the simulator is free.

  2. Do I need to download anything?

No, you play directly in your browser, on desktop or mobile.

  3. Do I need to create an account?

You can play as a guest. With an account, you can access your decks on other devices and view your match history.

  4. Can I choose the deck to practice against?

Yes, you can select an opponent’s deck from those available for the AI.

  5. How does the AI work?

Our team develops the AI opponent specifically for One Piece Card Game. It does not use a large language model (LLM), such as ChatGPT, to choose its moves.

Our AI learns through training games against other agents. During play, it evaluates the board and, on Medium and High difficulty, simulates possible continuations to compare moves and identify opportunities to win. High difficulty spends more time analyzing the position. Technically, it combines reinforcement learning (PPO) and Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS), adapted to handle the game's hidden information.

  6. Does the AI know my hidden cards (hand, deck, and Life)?

The AI uses visible game information: cards in play and in the trash, DON!! cards, and the number of cards in your hand, deck, and Life. It can also remember cards revealed during play.

The AI cannot see your hidden cards: the cards in your hand, your face-down Life cards, and the order of your deck remain hidden, except when an effect allows that information to be known.

  7. Is this an official simulator?

No, it is a fan project with no official affiliation with Bandai.
